§ 36-2. Rate of levy.

A millage rate will be set and levied by the mayor and council, upon all taxable real and personal property within the city. The rate shall be set at the next regular council meeting after receipt and verification of the county tax digest. The tax levy shall be by ordinance of the mayor and council but shall not require two readings at two separate meetings.
