§ 4-6. Renewal of licenses.

  • (a)

    The City of Dallas, Georgia marshal may approve all applications for renewal of an existing license upon payment of the license fees for renewal of licenses, where no objections have been filed and the application clearly shows no change in the ownership, managing agent, location, or operation of the business.

    (b)

    All licenses granted under this article shall expire on December 31 of each year. Licensees who desire to renew their license shall file application, with the requisite annual fee provided in the City of Dallas, Georgia schedule of fees, on the form provided for renewal of the license for the ensuing year. Applications for renewal must be filed by November 30 of each year; otherwise, investigative and administrative costs and penalties will be assessed. No renewal license shall be granted after January 15. After January 15, such application shall be treated as an initial application and the applicant shall be required to comply with all rules and regulations for the granting of licenses as if no previous license had been held.

    (c)

    Any person renewing any license issued under this article who shall pay the required fee, or any portion thereof, after the date set for such payment shall, in addition to such annual fee, pay a late payment penalty of ten percent, plus five percent for each additional month, or fraction thereof, during which failure continues. Such penalty shall not exceed 25 percent in the aggregate.

    (d)

    If objections have been filed by the City of Dallas, Georgia due to previous violations of this chapter or if there have been any changes in the ownership, managing agent, location, or operation of the business, a new application must be submitted to the City of Dallas, Georgia marshal.
